Special Education Teacher
Description
Special Education Teacher needed for a small, innovative education program for individuals with autism in Bergen County, NJ. The position is a full-time, 12-month position.
Qualifications
A minimum of a BA/BS degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology or other related field is required. Teaching certificate required. Preference will be given to those with experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include instructing individuals with autism, ages 3-21, in a wide variety of skill areas, including (but not limited to) language, social interaction, academic skills, daily-living skills, self-help and advocacy skills, recreation and leisure skills. Additional responsibilities include collecting and graphing data, communicating with colleagues and parents, and providing home support services to the family.
