28th Annual Golf Classic

After two solid weeks of seemingly unending rain, Mother Nature provided us with a beautiful sunny early fall day for our 28th Annual Golf Classic, held on Monday, October 2nd at the Hackensack Golf Club. We had a full course of golfers all eager and happy to play this challenging course.

Our sincerest thanks to everyone who participated in making this year’s event a success, including our golfers, corporate and individual sponsors, and those who donated items for our auction and raffle prizes.  All funds raised from this event helps IEA provide state-of-the art intervention to meet the needs of all of the individuals we serve, and empower them with the skills and tools needed to achieve their fullest potential.

We thank Tournament Chairs Chris Comey, Frank Lento, and Frank Salerno, and Committee Members, Maria Bushman, Gayle Cohen, Diane Lento, Joanne Novarro, and Joanne Salerno for their dedication and efforts in making this a wonderful day for IEA. We also extend our sincerest gratitude to Norm Forsyth, and the entire Hackensack Golf Club staff, for coordinating another great event for all our guests.

Kentucky Derby Party

The 149th Running of The Kentucky Derby may have provided some unexpected excitement at Churchill Downs, but The Brownstone in Paterson was the place to be on Saturday, May 6th for the IEA Boosters Club Kentucky Derby Party! With the unbeatable combination of fine food and spirits, the excitement of watching the live running of the Derby, armchair racing for prizes, and the frenzy of activity surrounding our Live and Silent Auctions, this event qualifies as another big win across the board for the learners at IEA.

We extend special gratitude to event chairs Janet Arena, Anthony Crasto, and David Schell along with committee members Eileen Andriano, Cecilia Crasto, Ilene Fisher, Bethany Hertl, Svetlana Korchevsky, Tricia McKeegan, Lisa Picinic, and Tonia Polvere for their commitment to ensuring a successful evening for IEA.  Our sincerest thanks go to Norm Forsyth, and the entire Brownstone staff, for providing our guests with a fabulous derby-themed buffet, and their care and attention to every detail.   Special thanks to Warren Schneider and the staff of Evention for facilitating the exciting arm chair races, and DJ Willie Wilson for going the extra mile for IEA.

Most of all, our gratitude belongs to everyone who attended the event, supported our journal, and provided us with fantastic prizes for the auctions and raffles. Without you, our program for children, adolescents, and adults with autism would not be possible.  With your help, we are able to provide those we serve with the skills they need for victory in their pursuit to lead independent lives within their families and communities.  Thank you one and all.

25th Anniversary Gala

IEA’s 25th Anniversary Gala, held on Friday, June 17, 2022 was a grand evening celebrating the success of all IEA learners and families. The event, attended by more than 200 guests, was held at The Venetian in Garfield.

Guests were treated to a top notch open bar, exquisite cocktail reception, and gourmet dinner, thanks to the expert Venetian staff. Thank you for making this evening so special for IEA!

Our thanks to Willie Wilson, and his band, for providing fabulous music throughout the evening, and his always terrific emcee skills. By the crowded dance floor there was no doubt that our guests were having a great time!

Most of all, thank you to all who joined us for this very special evening! Your continued support of IEA and our program means the world to us.
